Meet Linda O'Donnell
Linda O'Donnell writes small-town romance, with heroines rooted in fictional Brinkerton, Michigan, and celebrity love interests who keep dragging them into the kind of places that make the evening news, before everyone finds their way home. She avoids that particular chaos herself, choosing a quieter life in central Arkansas with her husband, her ongoing muse and inspiration for every worthy romantic hero (though he swears he's never once said the swoon-worthy lines she gives him credit for), and her menagerie of rescued dogs and cats.
When she's not writing her own happily-ever-afters, she's the co-author (with Fictionary CEO Kristina Stanley) of two books on the craft of writing—Secrets to Writing a Romance and Secrets to Writing a Novel—as well as a longtime writing teacher, a book coach, and editor who has spent more hours than she can count untangling other people's plots (and semicolons). She's also an unrepentant history and genealogy nerd, and an advocate of chocolate as a tool to help address manuscript problems of all sizes.
Her stories feel like home.
